Epic Dodgeball at Gaywood Primary with 10 Schools!

🏐 Key Stage 1 Dodgeball Fun at Gaywood Primary! 🏐

What a fantastic morning it’s been at Gaywood Primary School, where ten amazing teams came together for our Key Stage 1 Dodgeball Competition! The atmosphere was full of excitement, encouragement, and brilliant sportsmanship from start to finish.

The competition was split into two groups:

Group 1: Heacham Infant School, Walpole Crosskeys, Clenchwarton, West Walton, and Walpole Highway.

Group 2: Settisham, West Lynn, Gaywood, Terrington St John, and Tilney St Lawrence.

Both groups were incredibly close, with every team picking up wins, losses, and draws throughout the morning. In Group 1, it was neck-and-neck between Walpole Highway and Heacham Infant School, who both finished level on nine points. This led to an exciting playoff match to decide who would go through to the final — a real highlight of the day!

The final then saw Walpole Highway take on West Lynn in a brilliant contest, showcasing teamwork, determination, and fantastic spirit from both sides.

A special mention goes to a pupil from Clenchwarton, who was awarded the Dodgeballer of the Day trophy for their outstanding effort and attitude — a well-deserved recognition! 🏆

All children received certificates, a flyer for a free membership, and information about our evening clubs, giving them even more opportunities to stay active and continue their dodgeball journey. The winning team, Walpole Highway, also took home medals to celebrate their victory.

A huge thank you goes to all the staff from the participating schools for their support and positivity, helping to make the event such a success. Your encouragement and organisation created a wonderful atmosphere for everyone involved.

Special thanks as well to Josh, Jude, and Austin for all their hard work throughout the day — and, of course, to everyone involved behind the scenes for helping everything run so smoothly.

Finally, a massive thank you to Gaywood Primary School for being such fantastic hosts. Everything was organised perfectly, and their support made the morning flow brilliantly.

It’s been a fantastic start to the year — full of fun, teamwork, and positive energy. A huge well done to everyone who took part! 🌟
