Hi,
My name is Matt Parkinson, and I’d like to introduce a model we’ve been developing over the past two and a half years.
It has been built and refined in partnership with schools through real delivery, feedback, and practical testing across a range of primary settings.
We’re now proud to share the next stage of this work — a more structured and joined-up approach to PE and school sport that brings together curriculum, delivery, enrichment, and ongoing support in one system.
Rather than being a standalone resource, it is designed to support schools in building consistency, confidence, and long-term impact across PE and sport provision.
Alongside this, each school is supported by a dedicated ICS Education Partner who works closely with your setting to ensure the programme is implemented effectively and tailored to your needs. This provides a consistent point of contact for support, guidance, and ongoing development — helping to maintain quality, continuity, and alignment across all areas of PE and school sport.
Many schools we speak to are facing similar challenges with PE and school sport:
Inconsistent delivery across year groups
A lack of continuity in provision over time
Limited time for staff to plan high-quality lessons
Low participation beyond PE lessons
Difficulty evidencing impact for Sport Premium
At the same time, teachers often tell us that when it comes to PE, it can feel like “where do I even start?” — especially with limited time and confidence.
With many schools approaching renewal decisions, it can be difficult to know what will genuinely make a long-term difference.
We’ve built a model at ICS Coaching that solves this by providing a joined-up system, rather than isolated services.
🟢 A complete PE curriculum (ICS Access)
A structured curriculum from EYFS to Year 6, written by experienced teachers and coaches with over 10 years’ experience across a range of school settings, including international environments.
Everything is accessible through the ICS Portal — simply log in, select your lesson, and all resources, planning, and support are ready to go, making delivery straightforward and stress-free.

🟡 Specialist PE delivery (ICS Delivery)
Experienced coaches deliver high-quality PE, creating positive, energetic environments where all pupils can develop confidence, skills, and a love of physical activity.
Our structured approach ensures consistency over time, and we also offer a shared delivery model where coaches work alongside teachers to support staff development.

🔵 Whole-school sport provision (ICS Provision)
Beyond PE lessons, we provide a full enrichment programme including:
Breakfast, lunchtime, and after-school clubs
Competitions and festivals
Sports days and enrichment events
Young Leaders programmes
All designed to increase participation, build confidence, and create memorable experiences for pupils.
🔴 A fully embedded system (ICS Framework)
Everything connected — curriculum, delivery, enrichment, CPD, and impact tracking — all supported through the ICS Portal.
Alongside this, we support schools with areas such as equipment audits, organisation, and ongoing staff development, helping create a clear and sustainable structure for PE and sport.
Every school is supported by a dedicated ICS team member, ensuring a personalised approach that fits your setting.
🧠 Why this works
Many schools have strong individual elements in place.
What’s often missing is a system that brings everything together — consistently, over time — while also making things simple and manageable for staff.
🚀 If this is something you're reviewing
If you're currently reviewing your PE curriculum or wider provision, I’d be happy to have a short, no-pressure conversation to understand your current setup and share how this could work in your school.
Best regards,
Matt Parkinson
